On July 31st and August 2nd, our Youth and Adult Sight Singing Sight Reading Class and Introductory Music Theory Sight Reading Class will begin. The Youth Sight Singing Sight Reading Class will be held on Tuesdays for 8 weeks from 3:45pm - 4:45pm and the Adult class will be held from 5:00pm - 6:00pm. The Introductory Music Theory Sight Reading Class will be held on Thursdays from 4:00pm - 5:00pm. This class is designed for beginning sight readers to learn the basic fundamentals of reading music in order to advance into our intermediate and advance sight singing sight reading classes. Sight Singing is now in high demand in schools, a requirement for music majors in college and becoming a must in order to secure auditions which is something our Sight Reading Teacher knows and teaches about to his students in his classes; The importance of reading music. Freda, Scherrie and Shoshana Payne perform together in a one night only show July 11, 20127/12/2012 Our very own Freda Payne, who is a renown Jazz and R&B singer, Scherrie Payne, last lead singer of "The Supremes" with their niece and daughter, Shoshana Payne, all appeared one night in Hollywood replacing actor Jeff Goldblum at the Lexington Social House with Jeff Goldblum's band on July 11, 2012. The club was packed and dinners sold out leaving standing room only. Even some of their friends stopped by to watch the family destiny show such as singers, actors and actresses like Mary Wilson of "The Supremes", Beverly Todd from "The Bucket List" and many more were present.
