Freda Payne and other musicians were honored Friday morning at City Hall, June 17, 2011

Congratulations to one of our sponsors, singing recording artist and singer of the hit song "Band of Gold", Ms. Freda Payne, was honored in the chamber of commerce with press, peers and council men and women at City Hall in Los Angeles California today, June 17, 2011. Along with other colleagues, artists and musicians, such as the current musical conductor of the George Lopez tonight show and former conductor of Michael Jackson's "This Is It" tour, Mr. Michael Bearden, a keyboardist and producer who's worked with Stevie Wonder, Michael Jackson, Aretha Franklin and Quincy Jones, Mr. Greg Phillinganes, and current musical conductor of Dancing with the stars, Mr. Harold Wheeler. You can watch the recipients receive their honors from President Pro Tempore councilwoman Jan Perry and councilman Bernard Parks on channel 35 all week to celebrate music and the history that they made.
